SCR Lines Up Rs 1,123 Crore Track Quadrupling Project in Karnataka

South Central Railway (SCR) has floated a Rs 1,122.78-crore tender for the quadrupling of the railway line between Sulehali West and Kurugunta (KQT) stations in Karnataka, marking a major push to expand rail capacity on the Wadi-Secunderabad corridor.

The EPC contract covers the construction of third and fourth railway lines under the Wadi-Secunderabad Quadrupling Project. The scope also includes associated electrification, signalling and telecommunication works.

The additional tracks are expected to enhance rail capacity, improve operational flexibility and facilitate smoother movement of both passenger and freight trains along the corridor.

Bids for the project are due by 12 November 2026.
